Dear Friends and Supporters of Marquee Academy: We are so looking forward to what 2020 will bring to the Marquee Academy. It is very exciting to be working with such great provisional staff/musicians where our goal is to teach and share our musical knowledge and experiences with our students. Everywhere I go in the valley, I run into someone who says I know the Marquee and know so many students that have attended that really love the programs we have. Just tonight there wa...s a comment made by one of our parents I Love Marquee. The teachers genuinely love teaching and our kids are so excited week after week to learn to play a new song with Ms. Jeannie on their guitar. Victoria Sanchez. At a fundraiser last week I was approached by a young mother saying she was bringing her daughter to start guitar next month and looks forward for her daughter learning in the Performing Arts. We applaud our teachers that continue to shine. It’s hard work, but so worthwhile. We are dedicated. Recently at one of our staff meetings we outlined some class ideas we would like to share with you. We not only care about our ongoing youth programs in Ukes, Guitar, Drums, Piano/Keyboard, Singing, Acting, Dancing, but we will be adding adult classes for anyone that wants to learn. So, from just the beginner youth student to the adult that either once took classes as youth, to those that are looking for professional classes, we will have them all. If there is something you would like to learn that is not on our list, feel free to give us a call. Some of the classes for adults or continued music education will be offered in group and individual. And one of the most exciting classes will be Audio Engineering. Here is a sampling of what we will be offering: Video Editing, Music Production, Audio Engineering, Drumming, Guitar, Ukes, Vocals, Rock Coach, Rhythm Studies, Violin, Piano/Keyboards, Music for Songwriters, Theory, Rudimental Drumming (Drum Course Style), Triple Threat Performing Arts, Dance. And lets not forget the upcoming summer program that will truly knock your musical socks off ya!!! As the motto of Marquee Music Lives Here, we hope to see you all join in one of our classes. Dear Friends and Family of the Marquee Academy - This last March we were at a milestone for being open and serving the students and community for six years and counting. The Marquee has been a testament to what music programs do for our students of the Coachella Valley. We have seen our students grow and mature in life. So much has been learned by being in their presence. Learning the struggles of life, but at the same time seeing miracles through music. They have bloss...omed. Even trying out for the Voice and American Idol. They have learned self worth, determination and a sense of belonging in there own skin. This has been my greatest joy. At this time we call it the Changing of the Guard and I will be taking over the day to day operations and classes. We are the Marquee are so excited for the future and the continued growth of our organization and the ongoing classes in music education. Great things are moving forward. Soon we will announce our partnership with Opera Arts and what exciting changes will do for the benefit of the Marquee. As the summer travel schedule is winding down, We will be putting our classes schedules back to normal. As we will be revamping some of the classes and adding others, please reach out to me, and I will reach out to you to make sure our schedules are coordinated. We still have our usual classes with Mr. Gordon, Miss. Jeannie, Mr. Matt, Miss. Tatiana and others as we continue and add more programs as the year progresses.
