Michamvi Beach - it is both - an amazing chill place to stay, and beach parties every night. Stone Town - Arabic architecture style, reminds me of Morocco, crowded, a lot of stores and shops. City vibe (doesn’t feel like an island anymore). Ferry - prices, tickets, feeling nauseous. My worst ever experience, not taking Ferry anymore :( __________________________________________________________ If you ever felt nauseous on the ferry or on the boat, please share your experience how to overcome this terrible feeling, what did you do, what helped you? #Ethiopia #AddisAbaba #EthiopiaVlog #TravelinAfrica #AfricaTravel My first time in Africa, my first Couchsurfing experience. This travel vlog will show you everything I did during my two weeks in Ethiopia! Exploring the city, culture, Climate in Addis, visiting Merkato Market - the biggest market in Africa, hiking to the oldest national park of Africa - Suba Menagesha park.... Flew with Qatar Airlines to Addis Ababa, made a visa on the arrival, the price for 1 month is 50 USD. For 3 months it is 70 USD. I have stayed at the Couchsurfing. Make sure if you are planning your trip to Ethiopia to have winter cloth as well, because apparently summer in Ethiopia, in Addis is +2+4 at night and +22+27 during the day. But thanks to the cold nights there are no mosquitos and no malaria. Don't expect to find any laundry services, except dry cleaning (which takes up to one week). Laundry machines are not common here, but you can handwash your cloth or find someone who will do it for you for a good price. In Addis Ababa, they are using old Russian cars as a taxi. The capital is very polluted because they have a high tax rate for cars and most of the cars in the city are old. It was the first time I felt a bitter taste in my mouth because of the pollution, but once you go further from the city, in the mountains then the nature is amazing, very green and tall trees! The night sky in Ethiopia was the best I have ever seen in my life. The stars and planets are so close and you can see them so clearly.
