We cant stress this enough to our clients. Wire fraud is a real thing and its happening everywhere. Please call your escrow company before you send a wire. These hackers have their technique down, they hack into our email and get all the information they need to make it look like its a legit email from your escrow company. So please do not wire money unless you call your escrow company first to confirm they were the ones that actually sent it and the account/ABA numbers are correct!

When parties are in the process of completing a tr...ansaction, there may come a time when it is only interesting to move forward for one party if it knows with absolute certainty that the other party will be able to fulfill its obligations. This is where the use of escrow comes into play. Escrow transactions are also frequent in the real estate market and the stock market.
