COVID hasn’t stopped this group of Marin Villages members from building community! The Mill Valley Village Men’s Group traditionally offered its participants wide-ranging, informal discussions and a sense of camaraderie at casual coffee meetings in a café twice a month. When COVID hit, they moved the group to Zoom and a core group managed to keep in touch that way. In a year of loneliness and isolation for so many, this has made a huge difference. Their words say it all: It...’s heartening and fun to see how and why we cope. I like the sense of community and connection the meetings provide. I know I can call on any of the guys for advice, help, and support when I need it. And there’s good news! They are about to resume outdoor meetings for those who have completed their COVID-19 vaccinations, and they expect increased attendance once they can meet in person again.
