Today MRR helped celebrate Daisy the border collie's 2nd birthday! Daisy's mom Suzanne brought cupcakes for both dog and human team mates which were much enjoyed! Daisy is a practice student graduated from our previous classes and celebrated her birthday today by completing her first full runs against another dog and looked great!!

This past weekend almost the whole team spent the weekend in San Jose at the Pawdemonium Dog e-races tournament. We lucked out and had perfect racing weather. We ran 3 teams each day, Saturday our div1 regular team Loose Dogs and our div 1 multibreed team Stray Dogs won their division with some extremely tight exciting competitive and really fun racing. Unfettered had few bumps but finished 3rd. Sunday we had to do some rewrites on teams but we still managed 2nd place for... both Loose Dogs and Stray Dogs and again 3rd for Unfettered. Ricochet one of our baby dogs got to warmup all weekend and is doing full runs like a champ and looks great. It won't be long before her and her littermates will be making their racing debut. All the team dogs did fantastic and we had many dogs earn new titles. Dasher earned his FDCH-S (1000 points). Ransom earned his FM (5000 points). Rico earned 2 titles his FMX (10,000 points) and MBDCH-S (1000 points). Halo also earned two titles her FMCH (15,000) and MBM (5,000). Cannon earned his FGDCH (30,000). Rampage earned her FG90K (90,000 points) and is the first Australian Cattle Dog in NAFA to have achieved this title. Congrats to all the dogs and handers who earned titles. Mallory and handler Patti almost earned their FM but ended up just 59 points shy but not to fear she will earn it in Truckee where she will also get a pretty title ribbon. Thanks once again to all the great teammates that make up Marin Running Riot even missing our dear captain Heather we all came together and made it a successful weekend so WTG team. See more

MRR is gearing up for day 2 of the Bay Racers tournament in Scotts Valley. Yesterday all three of our teams placed first in their divisions! Green dogs Antic and Xoom looked fantastic, and all our other dogs ran well and got good times. Mallory got to run in the start position for the first time for one race, and had a personal best time of 4.79! In addition to racing Dasher full time, Willie did a terrific job running JJ's dog Page in start position. ... Class student Ashli even came all the way from Marin with her dog Ody to watch the fun. Looking forward to another day of racing!

Marin Running Riot has a new class starting on Sunday, July 25, at 11:00 AM at the Marin Humane Society in Novato. We have four returning students from our beginner class and one new student signed up. There is one spot left!
