So excited to announce the addition of 3D Laser Scanning to our list of engineering services! Our new 3D scanner documents both 360 degree photo-capture and point cloud for use in CAD. Routing pipe, locating equipment, and walking through the job site can be accomplished with millimeter accuracy back at the office. What a great tool!

Back in Japan this week for a structural repair assessment to the Canard rudders on Board TAGOS-23 (USNS Impeccable). These are great ships but not if you have issues with small spaces. The horizontal rudders shafts are located in the lower hull, a submarine shaped capsule located at the bottom of each hull/strut. Many thanks to the prime contractor, MDO, for the superb structural engineering support.
