*** Important News *** Important News *** March 26, 2020 Memo to Marin Bocce Federations Captains and players:... Hello everyone, I hope that you are all well and coping successfully with the sheltering in place order. We are officially closing Marin Bocce until at least June 8th, 2020. We have temporarily furloughed all of our employees including Jessica Libien, our General Manager as of April 1, 2020. We will bring her back as well as all of our employees as soon as we can open up again. We hope to be able to open up in June, but we are relying on the directives of Governor Newsom and the Marin County Public Health Department. We will not open until we feel it is safe for our older community. We will open up first for Open Play, later for our League Play and Events. We will maintain your monetary deposits slated for Spring Season 2020 and apply them to whenever League play commences. The Marin Bocce phone will have an outgoing message stating our closure and directing folks to www.marinbocce.org. Email inquiries will automatically be routed to my personal email and I will be responding as appropriate. As the laws/guidance from our County and State change, as our BOD decisions change, we will inform the captains directly by email. The Board of Directors and volunteers will oversee and maintain our facility while we are closed. I am available by phone if necessary. 415-459-4871 We know these are trying times for all of us. We are looking for a few outgoing, responsible and fun individuals to join our team. We are a non-profit located in the heart of Gerstle Park, San Rafael. Marin Bocce federation is a community based bocce ball facility, as well as a part of the San Rafael Parks and Recreation. We have 8 beautiful outdoor courts and 2 indoor courts. 160 teams play here weekly, in our bocce ball league. The position requires an individual to be outgoing, good with people, ability to run nightly... raffle and sell tickets, and run our night league. The current nights that are available are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Hours are from 5-10pm, starting at $15 per hour with possibility of a pay raise after 3 months. All ages encouraged to apply, must be 18 years or older. Must have good computer skills, and basic technology knowledge.
