Manrrs at UC Davis

You are invited to the MANRRS virtual banquet on May 25th at 4:10pm to celebrate our great year! We will be holding a raffle for MANRRS/College of Ag swag and are asking for an RSVP from you so we can send a raffle ticket! (You can still come without an RSVP!) We will be highlighting the meetings and events held throughout the 2020-2021 school year as well as our star members and introducing our new Board of Directors! We will also be playing a virtual game over Zoom and encourage you to bring your own snacks to the screen to mimic a true banquet setting.

We’re so excited about our upcoming events!! "Let's Network" aims to help undergraduates connect with graduate students to ask questions, receive advice, network, and share experiences. It will be an informal "Meet and Greet" networking event on the Wonder platform. We expect undergraduate attendees to have questions about graduate/professional school, research positions, internships, mentorships, and any other topics/experiences related to graduate/professional school. We ...currently have over 25 graduate students and professionals who will be coming, so please sign up and bring your friends!! We also have an upcoming Mentorship 101 event with Dr. Lowe-Power. In a couple of weeks, we will be having a networking event for undergraduate students to connect with graduate students, vet students, etc. If you want a med student/ecology grad student/etc to be there, please register in advance and let us know so we can plan accordingly!! Our next meeting will be a presentation about International Opportunities from the Global Learning Hub. The objective of this meeting is to educate students on international opportunities available to them, including study abroad, jobs/internships, research opportunities, etc and help students get a jump start on international opportunities to make the most of the rest of their degrees! Our next meeting will be a presentation about COVID from Dr. Cannon, a UCD professor and researcher. We hope to educate students on current research occurring at UC Davis pertaining to COVID-19. Dr. Claire Cannon will present her current research on the impact of COVID-19 on human sociology!!
