Can you guess who my student Alice drew? Alice has been taking lessons since 2016. She decided to focus more on portraiture last July. She did the first two drawings were done during my workshop. She did the first one on her own, but she gave up in the middle. She did the second one by following my instructions. She did 80% of the last drawing on her own last week. She learnt to pay more attention the distances between the different parts of the face and adjusted the proportions and the shapes accordingly, which led to a better likeness. Way to go!

If the air quality improves soon, OUTDOOR in-person classes for adult will start from next Monday the 31 at Vernissage art gallery. There are now new classes on Monday and Friday from 9:30-11:30am. Gudo Hallstone is the winner of our June contest "Paint a Flower" with her acrylic painting of red Ginger flowers in Costa Rica. Congratulations! She has won the original white tulip painting painted by Edna Epps. Icing on the cake: Gudo's masterpiece found a home!
