Makoto Taiko is pleased to announce new taiko classes for kids (ages 7-12) and an all-new taiko and leadership class for youth (ages 12-17) starting April 5th. In addition to playing taiko, the youth classes will also uniquely focus on learning and applying leadership skills. Participating in a performing arts group can be a transformative and profound experience, and we at Makoto Taiko are thrilled to take this journey with the youth in this class! This past Sunday, we had our second monthly outdoor practice. With social distancing, masks, temperature monitoring, an open-air space thanks to Shumei Pasadena Center, drum mutes, and personal COVID drumhead covers, we’re doing our best to provide a safe taiko experience for our members. Thank you to our instructors for your time and effort, and to our members for your continued support!
