Today we invited all our moms we’ve served this last year to come and have professional photos taken with their kiddos and it was beautiful. After purchasing a car from a friend for $300, it left Tracy stranded after two days. The cost to fix it was more than it was worth and more than she had. COVID-19 has been hard on her family. She has been without work, lost her housing and now she didn't have a car. She was left asking God, "What should we do?" Maintenance for Moms wanted so deeply to help her and her son, but the car was not fixable. We also began to pray. God hears our cries for help! He provided in the most perfect way. About a week after not knowing how to help Tracy, a generous mom asked us if she could donate her car to any moms in need. This was the answer to prayer. It was clean, maintained and being donated to Tracy. God perfectly provided in His timing to reveal His love and grace to Tracy and her son. #singlemoms #fixingcars #servingourcommunity

Have you ever thought about how often you use your car? How much you rely on it? What if you couldn't afford to register your car or pay your monthly insurance? Here is one amazing mom's story about her struggle to pay these basic bills and the fear that came with it: "I spent every day afraid of driving. I was afraid they would tow my car because I didn't have money to pay for insurance or update my registration. I was scared I would lose the only thing I had to my name. Whe...n I was homeless, this car was my home for 6 months. Maintenance for Moms took care of the problem with open arms, without shame, with encouragement. Every day I used to go to sleep with fear and wake up with fear about what would happen to my car. But now, I am fear-free." At MFM we were able to help her navigate the DMV and get her fees paid for and then her car maintenance done so that she could get to her job and take care of her kids. Just take a deep breath and sit for a minute. Fall is here but for many of us Moms it looks very different than we had hoped or ever imagined. Instead of getting kids into the routine of alarms and hurrying out the door to shuttle them to school; we are getting their desk and device set for endless zoom calls. Rather than signing them up for sports or figuring out their schedules, we're just trying to figure out how to get them motivated to run and kick a ball themselves as t...hey do PE via youtube. Rather than requests for play dates and sleep overs we’re preparing for the mourning of missing their friends. This Fall is very different. We want to take a minute and say a prayer over moms right now in this season that usually brings comforting change but now is bringing uncomfortable challenge. We pray that you would take comfort in the reality that God is in control, He is still on the throne even when our world seems strange and chaotic. God sees your struggles, challenges, joys and is with you in it all. Would you look to Him. Would you cry out to Him as you take a deep breath and allow Him to fill you with renewed strength. A client, wonderful single moms recently wrote her story and we want to share with you: Maintenance for Moms came into my life when I found myself in a place I never thought I would be. I was walking through the end of a difficult divorce. My genetic illness had progressed into disability - disabled, navigating a divorce, and the provider for my daughter - things were so very difficult I often felt overwhelmed with finances. I leaned on my faith and prayed. My mother had ...told me It always works out God will work this out I tried hard to walk in that faith. Sometimes God shines a light into the darkness. They were beautiful, kind, and helped me more than words can say. They developed a beautiful plan for me to bless me and also another mom at the same time and provide us both with reliable perfect transportation and care! God’s and Maintenance for Mom's timing was perfect!!! They provided proof of God's love and that he has given this ministry for single moms just like you and me!
