Happy Fourth of July! There is no doubt the holiday will look much different this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a blast with fun at-home festivities. These chocolate covered strawberries from the @thepioneerwoman are the perfect patriotic dessert to add to a backyard picnic.

During harvest, each strawberry is handpicked to ensure the berries are ripe and free of any flaws. Fresh strawberries are hand-packed in the field right into the clamshell containers found on grocery store shelves. Upon leaving the field, our strawberries are cooled at and shipped from our own facility to ensure freshness upon delivery.

In 1976, Alton Allen began farming in Santa Maria with just 5 acres of strawberries and the help of his three young sons. Struggling through those early years, Alton grew the business by producing a top quality product and establishing a reputation for uncompromising integrity. Eventually, as the farming operation grew, the need for cooling and sales arose, providing an opportunity to expand into the beginnings of the vertically integrated operation that Main Street Produce is today.
