SENSEFACTORY is a large scale performative installation, an up-to-date theater for the senses by Erik Adigard, Sofian Audry, FM Einheit, Dietmar Lupfer, Chris Salter, Alex Schweder und Sissel Tolaas. Architecture, sound, smell, light and AI technology are combined into an immersive multi-sensorial experience. First installed in Munich Sep 2019, it is currently at the Dive-Festival in Bochum Germany Nov 21 - 24, 2019.
We are excited to announce that after more than a year of preparation by an amazing team, SENSEFACTORY opens tomorrow in Munich.

This is a significant BART train rideyour images were taken as BART travels through West Oakland, an area urbanized by African-Americans from the rural South during the Great Migration, and later, post-Depression during an even larger Second Great Migration in search of industrial jobs at the railroad and shipyards.
Erik Adigard and Patricia McShane's StreeTALK won an Americans for the Arts National Recognition award as part of the Public Art Network Year in Review, the only national program that specifically recognizes the most compelling public art of 2017. https://www.americansforthearts.org//public-art-/streetalk http://m-a-d.com/portfolio/streetalk/

As part of M-A-D’s SIMAGE installations @petalumaartscenter.org Erik Adigard and Mark Petrakis will talk+debate on the state of image: a tsunami of pictorial shards and wall of mis-representations that stands between us and reality. It’s also a chance to visit the PAC exhibit Power of Ten: Scaling Up. https://petalumaartscenter.org/current-exhibition/ Saturday, FEB 17, 7pm Petaluma Arts Center 230 Lakeville Street... Petaluma, CA 94952 Blurbage: A look into how billions of new images each day are augmenting the media sphere while revealing (or obscuring) reality? For the last 500 centuries, image has functioned as our mirror, as our representation, and as our cage. What is the nature of that relationship today? Images are no longer just pictorial, they coalesce into an environment, an ecology, and even an atmosphere. Overwhelmingly abundant, image is less valuable than ever before, but image has nonetheless supplanted the power of traditional language systems and is changing culture in profound ways.
350+ drawings & doodleslots of gems.
