I had been suffering from chronic low back pain for 7+ years, in addition to head and shoulder pain related to TMJ problems for 15+ years. One of my 2021 goals is to continue to educate myself on the racial disparities within our country. This month I really want to specifically focus on Black and Infant Maternal Health. As a provider within the birth community I believe that every birthing person deserves to be heard when it comes to their health. Unfortunately this is not the case for so many Black birthing persons. As a result their lives are put at risk, as well as the lives of their babies.
