A beautiful piece by Wine Enthusiast sharing the remarkable strides Sonoma wineries are making in the world of Chardonnay. In it, Lynmar's winemaker, Pete Soergel, shares his take on this widely planted white grape: I’ve had numerous people tell me that they normally don’t like Chardonnay, but that the Lynmar Chards are the best they’ve had. This all starts with great site selection and finding the right clone and rootstock that will do best at that given location. Read... more from Pete and others on the evolution of Sonoma Chardonnay and its continued potential in this uplifting article! Featured Wine: Lynmar Estate 2018 Monastery Chardonnay (Russian River Valley); $55, 96 points. This is a perennially cohesive, elegant and bright wine, juicy in pear and apple with a lightness of oak. Savory seasonings of nutmeg, salt and stone give way to crushed rock, making for a complex, layered and deliciously lengthy wine that stays long on the mind and palate. Editors’ Choice.

Farm to Table doesn't happen in an instant. It can take years of love and patience to plan, grow, harvest and transform into edible goodness. Take these beautiful #olives for example. After olive trees are planted and eventually bear fruit, we continue to keep them happy - making sure nothing blocks them from getting the fullest amount of sunshine possible olives do best in full and each year the trees receive a couple of appropriately timed applications of #organic spra...y to help control olive fruit flies. Once we hand harvest each olive, we take them on a quick drive down Highway 116 to @goldridgeorganicfarms for milling (aka pressing). At the mill, the resulting olive oil is quickly bottled to preserve freshness. After the oil settles, we transfer to a stainless steel fusti until ready to use. A coordinated collaboration between culinary, garden, vineyard and winery teams, all this effort yields just a handful of gallons of delicious estate olive oil, ready to be drizzled over your next dish at Lynmar. Oh, and those cured olives you pop while wine tasting yup, those are estate olives held back from the mill for house-curing! #BuonAppetito See more

Nestled among redwoods, a brilliant weeping willow and other beautiful natural surroundings, we find the private home of proprietors Lynn & Anisya. For over a decade, Quail Hill Ranch has been their permanent residence. Once living on the estate, Lynn and Anisya began to experience the deep magnetic pull of the Quail Hill property, and their goal is to share that visceral connection with visitors. Since calling Quail Hill home, Lynmar has grown into a shared community of aficionados, and nearly everyone who arrives at our doors has been personally referred by a friend. Add a comment tagging the one you have to thank for introducing you to Lynmar, or tag someone new with whom you want to share this magical oasis. #TakeMeThereTuesday!
