Have you wondered how the superintendents of our local school districts have managed through this last COVID year? Our Education Committee met with 6 superintendents to find out. Join us on zoom this Wednesday at 7pm and the Committee will review their meetings! Attached is a spreadsheet which highlights in an amazing fashion the responses from the different school districts. Many thanks to the committee -Jeanne Hamilton (fearless chair!), Dale Petrulis, Penny Markey, Karen Cull Ford, Margaret Thelen and Joan LeSage. ZOOM info will come tomorrow! We hope you will join us!

Vote with the League! The League of Women Voters has 2 arms. One is education and the other is Action/Advocacy. Support means that the League of Women Voters has a position that supports the ballot measure. Against means that the League has positions that would lead them not to support. Neutral means that some of our positions support the measure but some of our positions do not. Therefore, the League is neutral. No position means the League has not studied the subject and therefore has no position. The presentation below is focused on our advocacy arm. During our 100th Anniversary National Convention, Dr. Deborah Turner was elected to serve as the 20th president of our board of directors. Her commitment to advancing voting rights and her dedication to democracy reform make her the right leader, and we are fortunate to have such an accomplished woman directing our focus.
