The old Golden Barrel Cactus finally has an empty nest. Lulo Eco harvested 18 pups today. It’s not the season to do so, but priority in space necessitated the action. Hopefully they will have healthy scaring and will take to replanting. Thanks old GBC for your kin.... How might this be done, you ask? A long knife to cut the stem, gloves and a prybar will do the trick. Freshly cut pups require scaring over the cut area before planting. If not allowed to properly scar, they will rot and end up in a total loss of the plant.
