We're about one month away to make traditional IRA contributions of $5,500 or $6,500 if you're over 50. Due date to make these contributions is April 18, 2017. If you're a small business owner, you can take advantage of contributing to a Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) IRA. Contribution amounts of up to 25% are based on net income (Schedule C) or W-2 wages (S Corp). If you're not ready, you can place your tax return on extension and it extends the time to make a SEP IRA contribution to the extension filing deadline.
