Exciting News! Land Park Pacific Little League is happy to announce that registration for the Preseason Little League Conditioning Program is now open for T-Ball, Rookie, AA, AAA, and Majors. As you are likely aware, youth sports leagues are still not allowed but the State of California has approved organized conditioning programs for organized youth sports. Land Park Pacific Little League plans to start with a conditioning program, then transition to an abbreviated seaso...n if/when Sacramento County moves to the Red Tier of the state reopening framework. More detail on the youth sports guidance from the State, and our 2021 plan can be found on the LPPLL website: www.lppll.com. Please follow this link to register: https://tshq.bluesombrero.com/Landparkpacificll The registration page provides information on the required documentation for registration both for those families who live within the LPPLL boundaries, and those families who live outside the boundaries, but go to school within the boundaries. Please read the information and collect the required documentation before starting the registration process (it will make the process a lot easier that way!) If you have questions please send an email to: [email protected] Let’s play ball!

Hi LPPLL Families, If you're on the email list you should've seen our first 5 things email of the year. In case you missed it, here's the information. 1 and 2: So, we have a plan You may have missed it but the State of CA (finally) released guidance on when and how youth sports can resume in California amid the ongoing pandemic. This allowed the Board to finalize our plan for Little League baseball in 2021. You can find both the State of California plan and details on ...how we are going to function within the parameters and timeline outlined by the State on the Land Park Pacific Little League website: http://www.lppll.com 3.Call for Coaches and Board Members: Maybe you are going to have a little more free time in 2021 (less business travel maybe?). Perhaps you have a child starting T-ball. Possibly a year without Little League has made you realize how special our league and Dooley Field are to Land Park - and you want to contribute your time. There are opportunities to both coach and to serve on the Board. If interested please email [email protected] 4. Registration: We expect that registration for 2021 (as outlined in the Initial Plan on the website) will open in the next two weeks and will be completely virtual. Links and further information will be sent shortly. 5. LPPLL History?: Do you or anyone you know have information or stories about Land Park Pacific Little League? We are interested in documenting the history of our league, Dooley Field, and the people who made this league what it is today. Maybe you played as a kid? Maybe you remember Dooley Bertolani? If not you, maybe a parent or a neighbor? Please email any contact information or leads to [email protected]

Sadly, our home, Dooley Field was subject to vandalism over the weekend. This comes at a time when the league is already struggling financially and beset by uncertainty. But Land Park-Pacific Little League will rebound with the strength of its volunteers and the commitment of its Board of Directors. Thanks to CBS 13 for highlighting this unfortunate event. https://sacramento.cbslocal.com//theft-land-park-little-l/

Good morning Land Park-Pacific Little League families. The results of the election are in and Carolyn Becker is the new President! I have pinned her short bio to the top of our page so you can get to know her a bit. Suzanne Olson was voted in as a new Board Member. She will be the Secretary. I look forward to having a great season in 2021 with excellent leadership by the Board of Directors, from the top down. Thanks to all who make Land Park-Pacific Little League move forward each and every day!

With Sacramento County moving into the Red Tier and businesses opening up we have received emails about the status of youth sports and Little League in particular. I asked a former Board Member (who is kind of in the know) and he said go here: https://covid19.ca.gov/ and enter "Youth Sports" to find the most up to date information. Unfortunately, it still has the same guidance that was released back on August 3, 2020. https://files.covid19.ca.gov//guidance-youth-sports--e...n.pdf So, while guidance on indoor gyms, bars and restaurants continues to evolve and move forward with great immediacy, youth sports is not a focus. But we will continue to push to get better guidance: guidance that sets forth when we can play baseball, guidance on what would stop us from playing games, and guidance on spectators - until we have concrete answers that we can use as a path forward. Of course, we will keep you updated on any developments as soon as they happen - both here and in emails to the league. See more

Tonight on Fox 40 news at 10pm, we discuss the new signs in Land Park meant to stop games from being played there. Until there are clear guidelines from the Governor on down regarding youth sports, no one is right or wrong as they try to play wherever they can. As long as fields are closed to games and tournaments but Park Rangers are only there to educate, not stop games from happening, this will go on. I can't wait for some real guidance from the Governor, implemented by the County and enforced by the City so we can all play fair.

Hello Land Park Pacific Little League families. It is with great disappointment that I announce that the remainder of the regular season is cancelled. I want to thank all the volunteers who assisted in Tryouts, the Drafts, practices, field rentals, getting equipment, prepping the Snack Shack and uniform distribution. Families will be receiving an email tomorrow that details what is next. We have lots of ideas but it is met with a world of uncertainty. I am not on Facebo...ok much so if you could wait to get the email and ask questions from there, that would be a much easier way for me to respond to questions. Stay safe, healthy, and positive, and I hope we are back on Dooley Field soon. Kai Hermann, President
