May is a great time for being outdoors and enjoying nature. It’s also skin cancer awareness month. There’s a lot to read about sunscreen and Zinc Oxide, and it’s great to see all the insights being posted on the subject. One seemingly obvious point is, as great as sunscreen and Zinc Oxide are, don’t rely on sunscreen alone, be serious about managing your sun exposure! But when you do reach for sunscreen, make sure Zinc Oxide is the main active ingredient, as it’s not only eff...ective in blocking UV rays, it has epidermal healing properties and helps balance oily skin. Derived from the mineral Zincite, Zinc Oxide has also been a big step up for skin health and purity, over the chemical sunscreens its in the process of replacing.
