Day # last for production of Side Effects, and a finale within Joan Osato’s palette of visuals. It’s a play realized on a sound stage, a first for Campo Santo @camposantosf through the generosity of MVS Event Service and Ray Diaz @radiaz03, an OG Campo Santo member and supporter. Combining the resources of the MVS video wall, broadcast standard cameras and lighting, the set and stage was created with a combination of virtual, practical and whimsical set design. Osato also utilizes her most familiar tools with gimbal and phone camera, her workhorse canon 5D TBA award winning stage projection, her signature in design for over a decade of Campo productions. Campo Santo @camposantosf continues filming of Side Effects, a play written by Star Finch, at MVS Event Services’ South San Francisci location. DP Joan Osato goes in for closeups on the Black Magic Broadcast series camera. The set is double, sometimes split screen and other shots at angles. Cast and crew also get a break in the only warm location, out in the parking lot in the late fall sun. - November 27, 2020

Filming continues on Side Effects, a studio version of the play by Star Finch, produced by Campo Santo @camposantosf. With a double set we’re maintaining distance and safety of actors, crew masked up, weekly testing, etc., in our best efforts to continue working and supporting artists during these cathartic times.
