...It’s been a while... With everything that’s been happening lately, it’s been hard for me to feel inspired to share/create makeup looks. Everyone, to whatever degree, is feeling so much uncertainty and anxiety around health and safety, that I convinced myself makeup would be the last thing anyone (not gonna lie, myself included) would even remotely care about. I went back and forth about sharing content during this time, but after speaking with several amazing artists/bu...siness owners that I have the pleasure of working with and calling friends, something was said that became and ah-ha moment. Creatives need to create. If it’s cooking (I have some yummy recipes, FYI), painting, music, dance, writing~ whatever the medium is, in order to maintain a sense of self and normalcy, creativity and self expression is needed, arguably now more than ever, to brighten the world... even from a distance. I think we can agree that this is a really shitty situation we’re faced with currently. So now it’s especially important to lean into the arts to express yourself and add beauty to the world. Makeup will always be my go-to art form, so I decided to change it up and start sketching to give myself a new focus and craft. Each of you that follows my makeup adventures are creative... the fact that you even follow a makeup page speaks to that. If you have anything you’ve made in the last few weeks, please post a pic of it in the comments. This will help brighten our feeds and maybe inspire someone else out there to try something different. If you are not comfortable sharing, just say hi! I miss all your faces (literally) and would love to connect virtually for now, and just chat. New and exciting things have been happening the last few months~ I’ve been crazy (awesomely) busy with my makeup adventures, that I haven’t had a chance to share on here lately! Here are a few fun highlights working with Asana, The North Face, Citizens of Humanity, a short film and podcast interview about my business... I’m not gonna lie, I have the best job ever.
