#adopt SAVANNAH If there was a definition of "purse pooch", you'd see Savannah's photo! This itty bitty 4 lb 8 year old Maltese would prefer to be carried around then walk. She came from a hoarding situation and was matted so badly, you couldn't even see her face. It makes us sad to think she ever lived in that condition. She's just so precious! Savannah is very sweet natured gal and will just lean into you when you hold her. She is very dainty and would be a perfect co-pil...ot to carry around in a doggie purse. Savannah is perfectly fine around other dogs, but she is more into her human and cuddling to be as close as possible. The best type of home for Savannah would be one who has experience with the Maltese breed and the grooming requirements. A home that has a safe environment for a tiny little dog her size. So unfortunately, no young kiddos please. Savannah would love her family to be home more often than not, and another small dog her size is a plus, but not a must. #adopt BLOSSOM Beautiful Blossom was rescued by Lovebugs Rescue after her former owners surrendered her. The tricky part was, she was all the way in Tijuana, Mexico. Thankfully, we were able to make arrangements to have Blossom and her 7 puppies transported to Orange County so the entire family could become Lovebugs. Blossom is a 1 year old, 15 lb terrier mix with the most soulful eyes. She is extremely well mannered in the home and walks wonderfully on leash. Blossom is jus...t a tad shy, but she warms up within seconds. She is such a loving and affectionate gal. Blossom gets along with dogs all sizes and would be good in most any type of home. #adopt BRYCE Bryce a sweet natured puppy who is full of kisses and tail wags. She enjoys playing with her toys, but prefers to be held and cuddled. She is an easy going gal who is happy to put her brother, Zion, in his place if he gets too rough. Bryce looks like a french bulldog with floppy ears! She has a low build with short legs. She would do awesome in most any type of home, as long as they are careful not to drop her. She is a little more slow on the commands than her ...brother, but she is working on recall, default sit and touch. Bryce will turn 8 weeks on November 6, 2020. #adopt ZION Zion is a handsome puppy who came to Lovebugs Rescue from his former owner. He has a very soft and thick coat and the most adorable long ears. Zion is very smart and has already mastered sit, touch and recall. He loves his bounty of toys, but patricianly enjoys trying to play tug o war with the sleeve of your shirt! Zion would do best in a home with another dog that he can pal around with. We don't feel a home with kids would be ideal because he can bite down har...d sometimes and get overstimulated. He needs a gentle redirection to keep his mouth busy on his smart toys instead of on your fingers. Zion is a quick learner and will thrive with having a regular routine with his new family. She has made a wonderful recovery, and is finishing out the rest of her vetting while she searches for her forever home. Cashmere is a 2 year old, 12 lb Puggle mix who has the most adorable buggy eyes. She gets along great with other dogs and new people she meets. #update Bugsy, who we rescued from the OC Shelter at 12 years old, finally had his ortho appointment with Dr. Cambridge. Bugsy has a very old injury to one of his back legs, which he has no use for. He had a bad luxating patella at one point in time and he has hamstring contraction that is beyond repair. We discussed the possibility of amputating the leg all together, but he doesn't think it will add value. So the good news is, this guy doesn't have to lose his leg after all. Bugsy is still under treatment to clear up his skin and then he will be neutered along with having a much needed dental. Once his vetting is complete, he will be in search of his forever home.
