The full moon today rises in the sign of Sagittarius, with a partial eclipseall too timely with what is going on in our world. . . Let’s take a look at what that means for us on an individual (microcosm) and collective (macrocosm) scale. .... . . Full moons, as many of you know, signify times of release, death, and give way to rebirth. This is a blessing. It is a time of letting go of outdated constructs, beliefs and patterns that no longer fit the mold of who we are meant to be, as we have far outgrown them. Globally, we can see evidence of this in that the ways of being silent, oppressed, and imbalance of power and injustice are being burnt away. Old systems are being burnt down. The burning feels scary, but in that process is where the most beauty and growth happens. Remember, it is in that fire that we renew. We can do this work on an individual scale with whatever fears come up for us as well. . . . The moon rises in Sagittarius this month. Sagittarius is a sign of honesty (at times bluntness), unbridled freedom, and great intellect. Sagittarius is a fire sign, meaning a sign of action, that does not like to be confined and will meet any means of entrapment with rapid retaliation. Seeing any parallels? . . . As for the eclipse, each eclipse amplifies the magnitude of energy for the moon it falls on. Therefore, eclipses are said to bring about radical change, whether it be outward change, rapid manifestation, or inward release. . . . With each of these elements considered, we have an opportunity to offer the world collectively, humanity, and ourselves great healing. What freedoms can be afforded that would strike balance in the world? What global systems can we re-examine that are outdated and serve only a certain populace? How can we use this energy of release to truly serve the entire energy of the collective, given that, as humans, we are all one. Cultivate compassion and empathy in your ritual, examine your individual experience and where you might release yourself from outdated modes of thinking, and then move outward. I commit to being an ally however I can, and yet know I will never truly understand the depth of injustice that occurs on a constant basis. I will never have the perfect words, and have a limited view from my own privilege, but silence is unacceptable.

Tomorrow morning, the full moon dawns as a super moon in Scorpio. Adeptly named the Flower moon, for its placement in the heart of springtime, this full moon renders an energy of transformation. Scorpio, as a sign, signifies death (both metaphorical and physical), rebirth, deep emotion, and the hidden world (I.e. our shadow selvesthe insecurities, fears, hurt, and parts of us that we feel aren’t worthy of showing the world, and therefore keep hiddenthat need just as much, ...if not more love and compassion). Scorpio also is a sign of intensity in all forms, starting with passionate emotion and deep desire. Our human mind is conditioned to operate on a spectrum of categorizing things into polarities of black and white, either they’re good or they’re bad. However, both the light and the dark fall on a spectrum and are equally necessary. Our darkness, our shadow, is just as much a gift as our light is. The pain, the grief, and the trauma we have endured have given us just as much of our strength as the qualities we deem fit to be seen by others. This holds with death and release, as well. Only through the dying away of the old do we see the rebirth and growth of the new. When we release the old versions of ourselves, we transform into our more authentic selves. . . . . Therefore, with this full moon, perhaps steer clear of using a polarized view of judging yourself and events in your life. All is benefiting you. Your shadow self deserves to be seen. Facing our pain, our grief, our deepest emotions and even fears and holding compassion for ourselves in a space of complete self-acceptance paves the way to true rebirth. Only through vulnerability, being all of ourselves, do we feel the true presence of joy and connection. Let this full moon guide your journey of rebirth. Let the old fall away, and rather than judging your experience as good or bad, focus on accepting the process of growth that comes in turn. . . . In lieu of all the transition and (frankly) chaos that appears to be occurring in our world, I felt it only right that I do a quick check in. . . . Now, more than ever, I believe we as a collective are being called to go inwardas our hand is literally being forced with the stripping away of outside stimulation and being ushered into what feels like isolation. It is in our own power to go inward, do the healing we may have been prolonging, foster connection with our hearts a...nd the hearts of others, and, I believe as a result, shift the tides of our world. . . . Yesterday, major amounts of anxiety were surfacing for me. So if you start to relate, shield and clear yourself and meet yourself with what makes you feel comforted and safe. Root down into your home and let yourself settle. Relearn how to slow down.
