If you received a stimulus check earlier this year as part of the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), chances are you and your dependent children will be receiving a second check in the coming weeks. While the second checks are less than the amount of the first stimulus checks, for many Americans continuing to struggle with the economic hardships brought about by the pandemic, these second round of checks are a welcome relief, having been long await...ed. American households will receive $600.00 per adult and $600 per dependent child, the later receiving $100.00 more than they received earlier this year. This means a single parent with two children will receive $1,800.00, down from $2,200.00 in the first round of stimulus checks. The second wave of stimulus checks are part of a larger emergency aid package passed by Congress last Monday night which also extends the current federal moratorium on evictions until January 31, 2021, provides an additional $300.00 per week in enhanced federal unemployment benefits (down from $600.00 previously provided) and more than $283 billion in loans for business through the popular Paycheck Protection Program (PPE). #COVID19 #stimuluscheck #coronavirus #business #PPE #losangeles #stimuluscheck #taxseason
