We took a big Allen Organ into Union Station Los Angeles today to celebrate Bach’s 333rd birthday. A huge crowd got to hear our pop up concert. Talk about a cool way to introduce the organ to new audiences in a high profile way. Long live Bach and the King of Instruments!

LA PHIL & THE BERNSTEIN MASS -- We are thrilled to provide an Allen Organ for the massive and magnificent Bernstein Mass this weekend at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Bernstein's original score calls for "Two Allen Organs (Big and Small)," so the wonderful Rosales/Glatter-Gotz pipe organ was "Big Al," and the Allen was "Little Al." What's better than one organ? Two organs!

Having seen this new organ in person at the Allen annual meeting a couple weeks ago, I can't wait for the first one to arrive on the west coast! Now... Who wants one?! :-)

Yesterday, Maestro Hector Olivera presented a wonderful concert to a packed church at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Dana Point dedicating the new Allen Organ. Thanks to all who attended, and thanks to Gloria Dei for allowing us the opportunity to design and install this instrument into their newly constructed sanctuary!
