When Gary Holdstock took a half day from work on Friday February 22nd to do what he truly loved and play a round of golf with his son, we never thought it would be his last round of golf. We often say that the hour of death cannot be forecast. When we say this, we imagine that this hour would be in the distant future. However, for Gary, sadly it was not. Gary Holdstock was a great part of many people's lives. He was a Father, Husband, and all around true to heart person.... He loved so many things in life. He especially loved his son Garrett, his loving wife Chris, golf, his corvette, getting those free fries from Sylvesters with his hat and that often-overlooked pink sprinkle donuts. Gary was always there to offer a skilled helping hand and loved to help where he could. It was that drive to help that brought Gary into our family in 1985. Gary and Ron Robertson were working together at Home Motors when they struck up a friendship. They then cemented that friendship with each brick that they placed while building Los Osos Auto Body. Upon completion of the shop Gary made Los Osos Auto Body his home away from home. On any given weekday you could find Gary riding around on the Segway getting lunch or just going to the lot. The one thing that was rarely absent was his smile. He was always happy to see everyone. With the loss of Gary Holdstock our Family circle has been broken and a link has gone from our chain. In Gary’s memory we ask that you take a moment to: brag about your wife's amazing cooking, brag about how your son kicked your butt golfing, enjoy that sprinkle donut, take some time off to play that round of golf, lend that helping hand, and most of all tell everyone how much they are appreciated. After 25 years with us Gregg Thomason has decided to leave us for the greener hills of Oregon. We feel like we are losing a family member; but, we wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors. Thank you to Brickhouse Barbecue Morro Bay for the amazing spread of food and MistyRose Gin for the custom cake. Everyone will be a little slower for the rest of the day from eating to much.

We closed early today to spend the rest of the day to show our appreciation to our employees for all their hard work. Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

We are so Excited about an event that is coming up for the Los Osos / Baywood Park Chamber of Commerce. We in little Los Osos get our own version of the Cambria Scarecrows. We are challanging our business buddies Kuma., Sylvester Burger, Los Osos Fitness, Los Osos Rexall Drug & Gift Store, Baywood Ale House and SLO Roasted Coffee to a bear off! Entry forms are on the Chamber of Commerce website. The bears will be on display from October 30th to November 26.

Join us tonight at SLO Roasted Coffee for the Los Osos / Baywood Park Chamber of Commerce event. We will be learning about what it takes to make the tastey coffee that we will have available in our office.
