On March 25th, cadets from Trojan and UCLA Battalion traveled to Fort Irwin. There MSIII’s and lower class men completed STX/Situational Training Exercise lanes while our MS4’s were part of OPFOR/Opposing Force. It is our hope that these practical exercises better prepared those cadets going to Fort Knox in the Summer. Our seniors also participated in a hand grenade training course during the four day Spring FTX. Overall, this year’s field training exercise was successful in helping cadets refine their combat and leadership skills. #oal #smokegrenades #m16 #armystrong #tacticaltraining

This past 4 day FTX was a huge success. For one, all of the MSIV’s in attendance were able to qualify on M4s at Fort Irwin. CSULB ROTC on behalf of Trojan Battalion would like to give a big thanks to Task Force Wolf (B Company 4-399th) as cadets from Iowa, Long Beach, and Los Angeles would not have been able to accomplish this feat without them. Not only did they coach cadets on lanes, they also taught MSIV’s tactical field care. These cadets are now certified in first aid a...nd Army marksmen, so thank you. MSIVs also are grateful to everyone who was able to come amid this pandemic. Without their attendance, cadets from Iowa, Trojan Battalion and UCLA battalion would not have been able to be evaluated on leadership. Thank you MSIIIs, MSIIs, and MSIs for being great followers and hope you all continue to grow as leaders in the upcoming years! Overall, thank you to those who came before us and come later because you are what make cadets into future Army officers! #8bde #armyrotc #csudhrotc #uclarotc #armystrong #uscrotc #usarmyreserves
