First and foremost, LBVSA would like to thank everyone for speaking out against any social injustices during these times. We give you our greatest support. In light of recent events, we would like to speak upon the misconduct that has been recently brought upon within our organization. LBVSA stands with all victims of misconduct and does not tolerate any form of harassment or coercion of any kind. As stated in LBVSA’s bylaws, if any member is suspected of misconduct and/or i...s suspected of violating the terms of the Constitution and Bylaws of VSA, VSA may suspend or terminate the membership of the accused. We strongly encourage our members in the future to report all types of misconduct in order to make the VSA community a more comfortable and safe environment. The LBVSA board members are always available to listen and talk to if members need anything. We have created a google form for members to anonymously speak to the LBVSA board about future concerns. (Do note that if you would like to report on someone’s behalf, you must ask the affected individual for their full permission to disclose the details to us). We are urgently working with UVSA and ASI to create specific protocols that will address current and future misconduct of any kind. Link to Google Form: https://docs.google.com//1KRRc823jkUX2vAsX44dnJw/viewform We are writing to ensure that you are all aware VSA has never and will ever condone these types of behaviors. LBVSA is committed to making a safe space and environment for all members while working towards a better future.
