This week’s featured project is Uptown Commons! Located in North Long Beach, this recently opened, two-acre, 10,330 square-foot project incorporates the site’s existing shipping containers to bring a special and updated look to what once was an empty lot. It includes an outdoor patio area along with unique cuisine restaurants for everyone to enjoy. Have you had a chance to check it out in-person? If so, tell us what you enjoyed most! If not, tell us what you’re most excit...ed about! #LongBeachBuilds

This week’s #TermToKnow is "adaptive reuse." It refers to a construction or remodeling project that reconfigures a site to accommodate a new use or a purpose other than for what it was originally designed for. What was once a single-family home in the Belmont Heights neighborhood, The Attic is now a local restaurant staple that brings in visitors from all over Southern California! ... Can you name another adaptive reuse project in Long Beach? Tell us below!
