We are nearly at our goal of raising $20,000 for four local nonprofits who serve our communities with food services! Through June 30, Logix Federal Credit Union will make a donation of two cents for every purchase or payment you make using your Logix Mastercard credit and debit cards. Manna of Conejo Valley is one of the organizations we are supporting. This nonprofit was founded in 1971 when a group of neighbors realized that their neighbors and friends were in need of supp...ort because of the layoffs in the aerospace industry. It became their mission to provide food to those in need in the Conejo Valley. This nonprofit has a food pantry where they serve low-income families, seniors on a fixed income, people with disabilities and those who have fallen on hard times. Families can visit the pantry monthly. The staff works with local grocery stores, charities and farmers to continue serving the community. Manna is not federally funded and exists almost entirely on private donations. More than 95% of the food Manna distributes each year is donated by organizations, businesses and individuals from around the Conejo Valley. With strong relationships between retail partners, donors and the community, Manna can respond to the needs of the Conejo Valley’s most vulnerable citizens. One such measure was making teller transactions by appointment only at available branches, and this is no longer necessary. Beginning Monday, May 4 it will no longer be a requirement to make a Teller appointment before visiting a Logix branch.
