Donations NEEDED: #OperationSingleMommaThanksGiving2020 and for the first time this year, we're needing our annual donors, helpe...rs, volunteers, contributors to come thru Covid Style and get our 60-70 Mommas their full baskets of food!! Our Goal last year was $1000 and i think we had 72 moms, with 10 baskets donated by orgs, families, friends...was truly a blessing to many, and the exhaustion was fueled by your support....I"d like to continue this tradition WITH A DRIVE THRU PICK UP of the Baskets for these mommas. CAN YOU DONATE PLEASE? SHARE IT ..we know times are tough but hoping a few orgs or companies and offices can help us continue this ! (Dont mind the tired guy sleeping on the floor he was a bit tired ) HERES what can be donated and included in the baskets : Venmo, Turkey Vouchers, bags of potatoes, desserts, drinks, gravy, baskets from 99 cent store , the tins for the turkey, gravy packets, greens by the can, 2 liters of soda and 1 juice , loaves of bread, ham vouchers or donate to buy, a bag of fruit :) See more

ALTAR VIEWING FROM OCTOBER 26TH to 30TH. FROM 4PM TO 7PM. For the past two decades, community residents and artists have built Día los los Muertos altars to hon...or the lives of loved ones who have passed. Each year, over 25 altars are built at the Sherman Heights Community Center. Self-guided visits: We ask the community to please call 619 232-5181 to schedule a viewing appointment, as we are only allowing small groups to enter at a time. In order to safeguard the health of the visitors, staff and volunteers we ask that if visitors are experiencing covid-related symptoms please refrain from scheduling tours. Durante las últimas dos décadas, los residentes de la comunidad y los artistas han construido altares del Día de los Muertos para honrar las vidas de los seres queridos que han fallecido. Cada año, se construyen más de 25 altares en el Centro Comunitario de Sherman Heights. Visitas auto-guiadas: Le pedimos a la comunidad que llame al 619232-5181 para programar una cita para ver los altares, ya que solo permitimos que entren grupos pequeños a la vez.
