Job Description for Servers and Line Cooks DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES... Server Greets all customers in a pleasant and welcoming manner. Greets and seats customers in the order in which they arrive and introduces special of the day. Take beverage and food order in a timely manner. Check with customer throughout their visit to ensure their needs are being met. Collects payment from customers and process in POS system. Clears and cleans tables. Reset table according to company procedure. Performs cleaning and stocking duties as assigned. Assists other service personnel when needed Resolves guest complaints and notifies management of any complaints received. Line Cook Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner Preps food/side work for next shift/day. Follow recipes and presentation specifications Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently Clean organize and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment Restock items as needed throughout the shift Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes Qualification Standards for all positions Must be able to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations. Must be able to observe and ensure product is prepared and presented in accordance with company requirements. Ability to communicate with guests. Flexible and reliable Team player. Must have sufficient mobility to move and/or operate in work area. Lifts and carries food trays weighing up to 25lbs. Must meet any state, county or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling. Minimum of 1 year experience in a casual dining restaurant preferred.
