Happy Holidays Dear Friends I would like to take this time to thank you for all your support of Los Osos Cares Programs. We are so blessed to be part of such a giving community. Your help has given us the opportunity to reach out to families, seniors, homeless and individuals who have been affected by the Covid 19 virus and are struggling to make ends meet. Our volunteers continue to reach out to the community and are so special. I cannot express how proud I am to see them... come out weekly at the dinner and help at home in any way they can. Our Office staff is small but we have grown a bit. We have a new Administrative Assistant, Jean Read who is getting us organized for the New Year. Also Alicia Skiba has taken the role of Social Media Coordinator, to keep you all informed of what we do and to keep us informed on all the activity of the Estero Bay. The Warming Shelter is now open at the South Bay Community Center when temperatures are below 35 degrees or it rains. Thank you to Rev. Caroline Hall for organizing this program. We have lost our good friend Steve Hirahara but his spirit and energy are will us as we remember all his efforts in helping the homeless community with the warming shelter. The LOC Estero Bay Womenade continues to help those in need by funding emergency needs. The Senior program is very busy with The Estero Bay R U OK phone lines, helping seniors and others with resources and needs during this time as well Together we have served over 500 people since the pandemic started in March!!
