Little Manila is joining with other non-profits in the San Joaquin Valley to demand more resources for our area. We face some of the worst conditions regarding education, environment, and poverty in all of California, yet resources necessary to address these issues are lacking and are not equitable compared to other parts of the state. Help us to change that. Join the Little Manila bus for the free Equity on the Mall event at the State Capitol.... Equity on the Mall Thursday, February 9th Our bus leaves at 8am from Central United Methodist Church (3700 Pacific Ave., Stockton) Bus returns at 3pm. Breakfast and lunch, transportation, and children's art activities all free. Speakers include: Asm. Rob Bonta (our first Filipino American state legislator) Senate Pro Tem Kevin de Leon Sen. Ricardo Lara Sen. Ed Hernandez Asm. Joaquin Arambula Asm. Rudy Salas Also, our very own Little Manila Dance Collective will perform! Click below to register for your free spot on the bus. Make sure to select the Little Manila bus! http://shfcenter.org/sjvhf/equity-on-the-mall Join 1,000+ community members to rally and demand that State and Federal leaders take action to improve the health of children and families from Fresno, Tulare, Bakersfield, Stockton, Merced, and rural communities throughout the San Joaquin Valley. Get on the bus and make your voice heard! The San Joaquin Valley Health Fund is a partnership of more than 58 nonprofit organizations, along with nine state and national foundations, who are jointly working to build greater opportunity, equity and fairness for the residents and communities in the Valley. We are uniting across issues that include early childhood education, health care access, protecting children from pesticide exposure, immigration, access to safe drinking water, violence prevention, housing, sustainable agriculture, and more issues that impact our health.
