Life. It's spring and that means new growth and new life. And on this Easter Sunday, new life comes in the form of resurrection. On this day, we celebrate and remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But we are not meant to only celebrate and remember; we are to retell the story, finding in the resurrection new meanings and understandings. We are to relive the resurrection, breathing it in, embodying it, letting it change us and transform us. The resurrection of Christ is ...not something that happened in the past; it is something happening now, happening today, in you, in me, in all who believe. It's not just a story we listen to. It's not just a story we tell. It's a story we live. Because in Christ's resurrection, we are given new life. In his resurrection, we too can rise from the dead. To experience our own resurrection, we are to remember his words and believe in his resurrection. We must claim the power of resurrection for our own. We must take in its power, deep into our minds, hearts, and souls. And when we do, we will find that we are growing into someone new, someone different, someone better. And when we proclaim Christ's resurrection and allow people to see it changing us from the inside our, they too will come to believe, they too will rise, they too will change.
