Dear Volunteers, This is a follow-up to the information we shared this past week regarding vaccines: San Francisco is offering free COVID-19 vaccinations at two community sites, including the Southeast Health Center in the Bayview, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General’s Learning Center in the Mission. Please see below for more information about who is eligible at these sites. The intent of these two new sites is to serve the neighborhoods most heavily impacted by the COVID-19... pandemic. As more vaccine supply continues to become available, more sites will open to serve residents throughout the city. It is critical that older adults living in neighborhoods most impacted by the pandemic have early access to COVID-19 vaccinations to lower both the infection and death rates among a population disproportionally impacted by the virus. Vaccine supply remains low and you may be asked to return the following day if the site reaches capacity. More at https://sfhealthnetwork.org/covid-19-vaccine/ Southeast Health Center (for residents of zip codes 94124 and 94134), flyer in multiple languages (and attached SECH PDF). San Francisco is offering free COVID-19 vaccines for vaccine-eligible residents living in zip codes 94124 and 94134 who are ages 65 and over. Drop in from 9am to 3pm any day of the week at the Southeast Health Center at 2401 Keith Street. You do not need an appointment. Proof of age and residence, such as a utility bill or driver’s license, is required. Zuckerberg San Francisco General (for residents of zip codes 94110, 94112, and 94107) flyer in English | Spanish | Chinese | Filipino and attached PDFs. San Francisco is offering free COVID-19 vaccinations at Zuckerberg San Francisco General’s Learning Center to those who meet ALL of the following requirements: 1) live in zip codes 94110, 94112, or 94107; and 2) Ages 65 and over; and 3) Medi-Cal recipients, Healthy SF recipients or uninsured. Drop in from 9am to 3pm any day of the week at Zuckerberg SF General Learning Center 1001 Potrero Avenue, Building 30 on the 2nd floor (off 23rd Street). You do not need an appointment. Please bring proof of age, residence, and Medi-Cal/HSF card.

Dear Readers of this Facebook page, Google is having giving week this week for the employees to choose an organization of their choice to donate $400.00. Please consider LBFE as your financial support makes a difference in the lives of the older adults we serve!

Had contact with two donors today. One made a donation in honor of her 20th wedding anniversary. They met as lbfe volunteers.. Another donor is going to donate her stimulus money as she wanted to do something meaningful with it. Wonderful people..

Come join us for this wonderful virtual concert: http://www.tinyurl.com/LBFE2020fundraiser LBFE (Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly) is a national nonprofit organization that aims to combat loneliness among the elderly through volunteer-based services and intergenerational friendships. This year, the San Francisco chapter is hosting a virtual benefit concert to support the provision of crucial services to socially isolated seniors during the shelter-in-place order. Jon and other talented artists, including Emily Hackett, Carlos Reyes, Paul Beaubrun, and Steven Norman Long, have recorded a custom show for LBFE, never before shown elsewhere, in celebration of the resilience our older adults have demonstrated throughout the pandemic. Join us for an evening of good music and cocktails - all from the comfort of your home!
