Controversial right? I get there are million deep and genuine reasons why people don’t think they have a choice. . Life can be superbly shit. The cards can be stacked completely against you. Life can be very unfair and often brutal. It can wear us down and blind us to the changes and opportunities open to us. . But there’s always a choice. There’s the choice of how we deal with that shit; how we move forward from it. ... . Not easy. I know. But you have this super power and it’s so powerful that a lot of other people are afraid of it so they convince you there is no choice. . Choice doesn’t mean the circumstances will automatically and magically change; there are many events in life that are with us for life. Are part of our story. But don’t believe you don’t have the power. . Choices are freaking terrifying. They have consequences. They aren’t easy. They take time to consider and evaluate and work out. But your heart knows and if you can step outside of the situation long enough to listen, it will tell you what choice to make. . #choices #realtalk #inspiration #thoughtoftheday #empowerment #change #growthmindset #choice #mindful #girltalk #womensupportingwomen See more

Very happy memories of Chapter.Con London 2019, the conference I run bi annually for authors and their supporters. Chapter.Con is one of my proudest achievements - spending a weekend with the most incredible women and a few very special guys; sharing, collaborating and really forging the most special of creative relationships. The knowledge in one space is mindblowing and I’m so excited to start planning the next Chapter.Con event. It will be a Chapter mini retreat an based... on West coast of USA. Connect with me if you’re interested in this kind of incredible and very special creative community. This panel was guested by the ridiculously talented and fabulous Catherine Stine @kitsy84557 Carrie Elks @carrie.elks and Alison Clarke #community #creativecommunity #authors #authorsofinsta #authorsofinstagram #booktribe #bookcommunity #growth #growthmindset #evolve #learn #conference #bookconference #authorconference #authorretreat #womenteachingwomen #empoweringwomen

Community? Tribe? Sisterhood? Whatever you call it, there’s power in it. . Connection. Collaboration. Knowledge. .... Real women lift other women up. They celebrate their successes as if they were their own. . They don’t compete to destroy but to evolve and grow and they pass that baton into others. Setting the pace. Encouraging the less experienced, the younger, the ones who are carrying extra burdens. . It took me over 30 years to find my tribe and 5 more years to change my trust issue behaviours. . It’s hard to embrace community when it’s been such a point of rejection in your early years. I get that. . Do you have a community around you cheerleading your successes? Supporting your dreams? Enabling you’re skills? . If the answer is no then you do now. Let’s start a community of me and you... because the amazing thing is it’s as simple as that... that’s where it starts. One connection leading to another and then another. . #women #womenempowerment #womenhelpingwomen #community #tribe #growthmindset #growth #evolve #change #midlife #creativewomen #network #friendship #lifegoals #values #girlboss #goaldigger

I was always a lone wolf. Until I found my tribe. . I’d convinced myself that I liked working alone. That I didn’t need anybody. I was strong, independent, resilient... I didn’t need anyone. . But I grew to understand that I’d convinced myself of this out of deep fears of rejection. Like a lot of creatives, I’d found my early experiences of community pretty hideous. Bullying, cliques, rules that changed daily, competition, envy. ... . Then I met a community of creatives who changed my world. They didn’t come to me. I had to be brave. Fave my fear of rejection and get out there. . What I discovered was the most amazing power of community. It was this life changing experience that catalysed a desire to guide other women towards finding their tribe. . If you’re searching for community, DM me and let’s talk about how we can make that happen. . #community #womensempowerment #creativewomen #women #growth #evolve #evolvetogether #womenhelpingwomen See more
