Tonight, we bring you the classic song "White Christmas", sung by Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen - from the film by the same name... "White Christmas" released in the year 1954. The song was originally introduced by Bing Crosby in the film "Holiday Inn" back in 1942. Both films are true treasures and so touching each and every Christmas since then... Merry Christmas Everyone... *** And if by chance you haven't seen either film, please treat yourself - you won't be disappointed....

Ladies and Gentlemen... This evening I wish to present a very special clip from "The Honeymooners" - 'Twas the Night Before Christmas... This was filmed and aired on December 24th, 1955. This show reflected a working-class couple living in Brooklyn, New York City, N.Y. in the 50's. and 60's... It is also a very accurate representation of Christmas during my youth growing up in Utica, N.Y. in the 50's and 60's.... I have watched every year since as far back as I can remember - and it touches my heart just as deeply every time I do. Merry Christmas...

Folks, this Christmas is an especially special one for me, Judy and Katy... We have been blessed with the wonderful and most heartwarming friendships of a couple of beautifully amazing ladies in England, (Kandy and Jo), and their families. This evening in honor of our ever growing friendship, I present to Kandy and Jo... along with each and everyone of our friends and family - "Leigh Haggerwood" and his Victorian Era creation - "The Florin Street Band" ... straight from London, England or the United Kingdom if you prefer... Enjoy...

It's January 7th and the stats are in. Here are the top 12 bestselling print books of 2019 as tallied by NPR BookScan. But before we get to the complete list, we wanted to note two authors of kids books that make up the sales of over 4 million books from the three you see below. Dav Pilkey (Dog Man Series) and Jeff Kinney (Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series). These two authors are made an amazing impact on kids. Their respective series have and continue to be a catalyst to get kids ...to read, continue to read and even challenge their imaginations to create their own characters, write stories and draw them out... Major kudos! And now the "list"... #1: Where the Crawdads Sing (Delia Owens): 1.8+ Mil. #2: Becoming (Michelle Obama): 1.1+ Mil. #3: Dog Man: For Whom the Ball Rolls (Dav Pilkey): 1.0+ Mil. #4: Educated: A Memoir (Tara Westover): 880,844K. #5: Wrecking Ball (Jeff Kinney): 853,626K. #6: Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild (Dav Pilkey): 785,328K. #7: Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid (Jeff Kinney): 720,807K. #8: Girl, Wash Your Face (Rachel Hollis): 672,859K. #9: Girl, Stop Apologizing (Rachel Hollis): 667,258K. #10: The Tattooist of Auschwitz (Heather Morris): 655,319K. #11: Oh, the Places You'll Go (Dr. Seuss): 633,947K. #12: Dog Man: Fetch 22 (Dav Pilkey): 574,227K. And let's send a rousing ovation to Rachel Hollis for her fantastic self-help Christian books tailored to girls and women of all ages, which came in at #8 and #9, with combines sales of 1.3+ Million Copies. This is a wonderful testament to the world and art of "BOOKS"... They are very much a considerable part of who we are. Congratulations to these and all those who have authored books in 2019. Keep writing, keep illustrating and for those who wonder - start writing...

"Not all those who wander are lost." The words spoken by John Ronald Reuel (J.R.R.) Tolkien, and for whom we celebrate this day, January 3rd, the day of his birth in 1892. A scholar of the English language, and twice Professor of English Language and Literature at Oxford, he was also a close friend of C. S. Lewis. They both were members of an informal literary discussion group known as the "Inklings."... J.R.R. Tolkien is probably best known as the author of: > The Hobbit; published on Sept. 21, 1937; has never been out of print. The story is told in the form of an episodic quest, and most chapters introduce a specific creature or type of creature of Tolkien's geography. Genuinely unique and popular, it has encompassed various stage, screen, radio, board games, and video games adaptations. > The Lord Of The Rings; published as a trilogy: began as a sequel to Tolkien's 1937 novel The Hobbit. However it eventually developed into a much larger work, written in stages between 1937 and 1949. It is one of the best-selling novels ever written, with over 150 million copies sold. 1. The Fellowship Of The Ring (published July 29, 1954) 2. The Two Towers (published November 11, 1954) 3. The Return of the King (published October 20, 1955) Both story lines were adapted to film, with The Hobbit consisting of three fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson. This trilogy acted as a prequel to Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. Feast your eyes on the books, then treat your senses to the outstanding films series.
