When we are born, the first thing we do is inhale. When we leave this earth, the last thing we do is exhale. Our breath is what connects us to consciousness our entire life, giving us the energy we need to advance through this wonderful world.

~Waiting to Exhale~ We spend so much of our time in fight or flight. Even while watching a movie, we find ourselves holding our breath waiting for the next scene to happen. That is the way it is in life for most people. We're always waiting for the next big thing to happen to us or looking forward to that trip or living for the weekend. We often forget to live in the present and enjoy the moment that we are currently experiencing. Constantly looking ahead can cause us fear... and anxiety. Living in the past can cause us guilt for things that should have been handled differently. The present is what matters and is the only thing that you can control right now. Our breath is one of the most powerful tools for slowing down and staying in the present. Inhale, the blessing that is another day of life. Exhale, any worries or fears of what is to come. Be present, and don't forget to BREATHE! See more

~Breathe Like A Baby~ All it takes is a few minutes of watching a baby breathe to realize that as adults we have lost the calm natural rhythm of how we breathe. Babies generally breathe through their noses. They naturally breathe starting from the abdomen, chest, then exhale through their nose.... It is a gentle and effortless flow. Adults have lost this natural breathe and there are many reasons why: 1. Allergies, deviated septum, broken noses 2. Life traumas that cause anxiety will put our bodies into fight or flight response which pushes us into mouth breathing 3. Over breathing trying to get more oxygen, thinking it will help calm us We need to remember it is the long exhale that truly helps by releasing more carbon dioxide and reducing the chance of hyperventilation. So remember, if we breathe like a baby, we can sleep like a baby.

~Physical Benefits of Breathwork~ We know about the active muscles in our body: quads, hamstrings, biceps; but, we don't think about the passive muscles in our body. Our organs are passive and we can't exercise them like we do with our active muscles. Breath is a powerful tool that we can use to help keep our organs functioning properly. When we breathe correctly starting from the abdomen, we receive more blood, lymph, and energy flow to our organs which results in a mo...re efficient system. Some of the physical benefits that come from this practice are: - Removes toxins from the body - Reduces inflammation - Promotes blood flow - Supports the immune system - Alkalizes your blood pH levels - Reduces anxiety and helps insomnia What physical healing would you like help with? Our bodies have overcome so much during the pandemic over the past 12 months and as always, time is our biggest healer. As the world starts to recover with vaccines and the economy is moving forward, we need to make an effort to talk about the strength of our bodies opposed to the strength of the virus. Our bodies are resilient. Our minds are resilient. Emotions are resilient. Through reflection, we have experienced many ah-ha moments, many changes, many gifts and many ...losses. There is a sadness, fear and grief that we are collectively feeling across the world and we have to collectively be conscious of working on ourselves to help us move forward. One of the best ways to heal is with the power of breath. Breath is a tool that we take with us no matter where we are. Its power allows our body and mind to release and let go of the pain that holds us back. A breathwork class will teach you various techniques to help guide you through that transformation.
