Memories of a trip to France a couple of years ago. I made several paintings there, and this is one of them. A blue and white striped sofa in the charming house I stayed in, and the yellow peonies from a market day. I’m looking forward to the time when I can safely travel once again.

My work table today, these are especially detailed, and of course that’s the way I like it!

Work in progress: here’s what I did in the studio yesterday! I’ll be working on this one at Gallery 113 tomorrow, where I’m exhibiting 13 of my paintings in a show I’ve titled Amore dei Fiori through April.

In the studio, I’m mixing different yellows and beginning to block in color to help me see my design better:

From a blank board, a new work in progress is emerging! I’m looking forward to painting this one! Still doing the drawing. Inspired by a visit to Flora Gardens today, how wonderful to have a garden center at the end of my street!

I’m proud to say that my painting, Scrub Jay Nest Moon was juried into the Thousand Oaks Art Association annual Juried Open Show. The show is an online exhibit and can be viewed via their website: www.thousandoaksartassoc.org. My painting is among others available for purchase there.
