We often think that if I have this or when I get this, my life will be better, then I’ll be happy. But the key is not having more but becoming more. Nothing we gain in this world will satisfy us like Christ. We have to learn to build our character and grow before wanting to receive more. Many times God hasn’t given us more because He’s waiting on us to get to a level when we’re ready to receive more.

God desires that we live in Him and that He lives in us. Unlike us, God doesn’t need intimacy with us in order to function or be God, He just is, but oneness with God is something we need. Intimacy with God is so essential to our being because it is the purpose we were created for, we were made to have fellowship with God. Lord, give us eyes to see the woman you have created us to be and the gifts you have placed within us. Help us to stop living beneath the abundant life You have designed for us to have. Guide us and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so we can move differently, not in our own strength but in Yours.

God didn’t create you to be anyone else but you. You dim your own light when you try to be someone/ something other than who God created you to be. And God can’t bless who you pretend to be. Be you, no one does it better.
