YARD SUPERVISOR - Will be supervising 3 other employees SUMMARY Help to maintain Yard/Forklift Operator, fulfilling all orders from Yard/Forklift Operator, maintaining inventory control, and Yard/Forklift Operator maintenance. Coordinates the replenishment bins for shutter profiles.... Individual assists with the shipping department in building pallets. REQUIREMENTS Supervisory experience At least 3 years forklift. Order fulfillment and inventory control in perpetual inventory system. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Able to supervise orders and complete paperwork Skills Knowledge and Abilities: Must be organized and detail-oriented. Have excellent knowledge of operating a forklift and packaging materials. Must be able to use a measuring tape in inches, use a table saw and operate a pneumatic nail gun. Physical Body Positions: Walking and moving around the whole day. Body Movements: Sufficient mobility to walk throughout the facility. Able to complete various forms and reports in handwriting. RESPONSIBILITIES Receipt and storage on all goods delivered to Yard/Forklift Operator including receipts, transfers of pipes profiles, and shipping supplies. Fulfillment of all orders. Accurate in quantities, pick sheet, and Quality Control. Maintain accuracy of inventory through periodic inventories. Maintain forklift daily, initiate repair call if necessary. Store items where appropriate and ensure that product is stored so it won't be damaged or a problem. Coordinate the replenishment process for profiles. Review bins daily, note short items, move product to the staging area, and coordinate the replenishment of bins. Do weekly inventories of profiles in Yard/Forklift Operator. Do bi-weekly inventories of pipe in Yard/Forklift Operator. Transfer product that is old. Contact flatbeds as necessary for pick up. Maintain inventory of pallets for shipping. Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking of inventory within the facility Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Follow all safety procedures; notify shipping manager immediately upon unsafe equipment or procedures that are not safe. Other duties as needed.
