Hey I'm Lina, momma of two, wife to one sarcastic man, newly transported to the land of famous potatoes, and today I share some TRUTH. . I feel like almost everything I've shared or said over the last few years sounds and looks like someone else. Sometimes it was intentional, and other times it wasn't. Thankfully there are glimpses of me in there, but all I see is someone who is trying too hard for others to "notice" and for all the wrong reasons. Validation being one of th...em. . I want to share more of what's important to me now, even though it might not what be what you’ve come to expect of me. I want to be a phenomenal mom and wife; I want to share uplifting scripture and connect with others who know and want to know more about Jesus. I also need to share something that’s been on my heart for the last two years with you all right now... . I have loved photographing couples on their wedding day and the journey leading up to it for the past 7 1/2 years. It's what I know, and it's what's comfortable. . However, I'm not sure if its space where I want to keep pouring ALL my time into developing. I’ve shared this with family as I’ve wrestled with the thought for the past two years, and I’ve worried about what I would do next. I worried even more about what others would think of me if I stopped. I can’t keep caring about that anymore. . I still have a few weddings left this year, and humans, I plan on loving the crap out of as I close this chapter. I just know I want to open myself up to more. It’s time. . Am I done with photography? I don’t think so. Will I still be shooting weddings next year? Probably not. I take this next step day by day and let it all unfold as I go. . So what will I be sharing? Well, you can expect LONG social media posts because I’ve found I enjoy writing. Family life, faith-building, the odd charm of the day to day simplicities, living in Idaho, and of course, a few gorgeous clients. . So if you do decide to keep following along, thank you! It’s officially our last month here in Modesto, and it’s hard to believe that in such a short amount of time, we made this place home. As the days go forward, we put one foot in front of the other and press forward towards our next. We are taking time to soak up the little things here we had yet to do (like dinner and board games by the fire) and are just really thankful that as each day unfolds, God shows us where to place our feet. He has given us only enough direction to... keep us moving and lovingly withholds the rest of it as he uses this moment to grow our faith. Anyone else notice this is one of his favorite teaching methods?!? Lol Well...Let me tell you God is working something we NEVER imagined coming, and we are just in awe of the possibility and promise he’s given in such a short amount of time. I can’t wait to sit down and share what he’s working for the good, but for now, I soak up these mornings here in Modesto at my kitchen table, word in tow, and praise God for giving us another day.
