Lights on Display

This is very hard to write, but I'm very sorry to say that I won't be doing a show this year. Last year was really difficult for a number of reasons, so I decided to take this break. I'm hoping I won't regret it, as it's been an amazing run! Hopefully I can bring it back next year with something a little different. For the first time in 20 years, I hope to get out and enjoy some of the local displays I haven't been able to check out. Please spread the word so I don't have too many disappointed visitors this Christmas. I wish you all the happiest of holidays!

May is fast approaching, and for the first time in awhile, I haven't started working on this year's display. I’m still undecided on whether or not I’ll be doing a show this year. A lot changed in my life last year, but the show definitely had to go on with the tribute to my parents. The show has always been a major undertaking, and it’s always been a labor of love! Last year the display experienced the most visitors ever, and if the show runs again, I will need to have the he...lp of a few volunteers for traffic control, mostly on the weekend. Also, there may be need to be some dark nights during the week, to allow some time with family and friends. For the first time, I’ve also considered working with a charity, to bring a new spirit and reason for the display. The display has been a major part of my life, here and in Indiana for over 40 years. I’m not sure if I’m ready to see it go yet. I love meeting everyone, and seeing the joy on the faces of young and old! Please let me know if you’d be interested in volunteering your time for traffic control. I also welcome your comments and suggestions.

Happy New Year! The 2018 show run has come to an end. Thank you all stopping by to celebrate the season with me and my Christmas crew! This year's show was one of the most special and meaningful to me, as I paid tribute to my parents, the one's who made Christmas so special! Once again I have to thank my neighbors for putting up with over a month of craziness, and a thank you to all of you who visited, for your patience and respect for my neighbors. This year saw the most vis...itors ever, with thousands of visitors stopping by over the run of the show. It's hard to believe that what I started as a child, millions of people have seen through television, online, and in person! I'm not sure what the future holds, but I hope to bring it back for 2019!
