Life After VMS

I was out and about at the Goodwill today and spotted this in the electronics section. Any ex-VMSer who worked as a monitor or transcriber should recognize this!

It is with great sadness that I learned this morning of the recent passing of Dorothy Dee Fa'aita. Dorothy worked in the VMS LA billing depart around 2001 and on. I believe she had transferred from the VMS SF office. She will be sorely missed as I worked along side her and she would make me laugh all day long.

Also due to health issues and spending a great deal of time in the hospital I was unable to post the passing of Anna-Liza De La Cruz who worked at VMS Los Angeles in the billing dept. She worked in the billing dept and passed away in her sleep in late August. There are no details on her passing. She will be missed. That is Steve Shuhiro on the left who also worked at VMS LA and ended up marrying Anna-Liza. Condolences to Steve and the family of Anna-Liza.

Saddened to break the news that Wayne Wells is no longer with us. He worked at VMS Los Angeles during the 1990's as a monitor and left the company after his band Static-X (formerly just Static) got signed to a major record label deal. He left VMS LA and changed his name to Wayne Static. I have no details on the passing of Wayne Wells. His brother, Jeff Wells, worked at the VMS Chicago office. Last Friday night I stopped by at the Big Fish Bar & Grill on San Fernando Rd. to say what's up to some of the fellas from the old LA production crew. Everyone misses Amir. RIP
