32 anglers (overnight charter): 107 yellowfin tuna, 30 dorado and 45 yellowtail We returned from another fun @starcrew_charters trip. It never feels like work when you’re fishing with your friends. A couple good stops provided us with plenty of action and fish to take home.... We have open party full day trips throughout the month. Please make those reservations so we can keep the ball rolling.
20 anglers (2 day charter): 53 bluefin tuna (30-45lbs), 20 skipjack, 2 dorado and 2 yellowtail A calm weather forecast is our number one concern when we look to travel outside the 119 longitude. Our group’s timing was perfect and the stars aligned for great weather along with an impressive amount of bluefin tuna on day one. (As displayed on our picture) We decided to take advantage of the opportunity out in this zone, as we tried for quality fish in both days. ... The biomass of bluefin tuna that is present is just amazing. When it’s a float day the visual sign is something that no words can describe.
38 anglers: 109 kelp yellowtail and 3 skipjack tuna We searched all morning for the magical tuna stop with no success. But we’re later rewarded with some yellowtail action late in the day. There is still opportunity for a decent tuna fish stop with-in our Full Day range. We have Full Day openings for the rest of this month
34 anglers (overnight charter): 17 yellowfin tuna and 14 dorado. Special thanks to everyone who came out fishing today. Today’s trip was organized by the Open Waters Foundation, who help under served families with children get out and experience the ocean and Sportfishing. ... Fishing was fishing. Had a couple of opportunities which interrupted the fishing stories and good times with friends. We have open party full day trips scheduled all month.
37 anglers: 36 yellowfin tuna, 5 yellowtail, 3 skipjack and 2 Mahi Today we had 2 good opportunities where the tuna fish let their guard down. A belly hooked Michael Phelps style bait was pretty much a for sure bite. Tackle Tip: When your belly hooked bait hits the water, keep tension for a few seconds until you can feel the bait kicking it’s tail. This tension will force the bait’s head to go down. ... This will help you get your bait to swim down fast and you’ll be able to get a reaction bite. See more
Today we had two pieces of a three piece puzzle. We were in the right area at the right time and we even found a couple of nice schools. Unfortunately the third piece of the puzzle was finding the right school. 27 passengers 18 yellowtail and 2 yellowfin tuna.
Absolutely beautiful and good fishing. 21 passengers on our overnight charter 50 yellowfin tuna, 20 mahi, and lots of skipjack. Come out and enjoy the perks of fall.
40 anglers: 7 yellowfin tuna, 1 skipjack and 1 dorado This beautiful weather forecasted will make it easier to locate some bio-mass schools.
39 anglers: 39 yellowtail, 10 dorado and 1 skipjack With improving weather conditions, we’re hopeful for tomorrow.
39 anglers: 7 dorado and 4 yellowtail Less than ideal weather conditions made fishing difficult for us today. We never were able to collide with a sonar school and only found scraps on 4 out of the 20 kelps we tried today. Hoping for smoother seas and less wind tomorrow.
28 anglers (private charter): 58 yellowfin tuna, 56 dorado and 18 skipjack 2 swipes of the sonar and 1 lucky kelp made our day.
40 anglers: 62 yellowfin tuna, 22 skipjack, 2 Mahi Mahi and 8 kelp yellowtail One swipe of the sonar made our day again. Monofilament on your fishing reel will make it easier to cast efficiently and also help your bait swim when the action is hot and heavy.
40 anglers: 57 yellowfin tuna, 20 skipjack and 2 Mahi Mahi One swipe of the sonar made our day.
