it's with a heavy heart that we announce that a long time league friend, board member and our past president as well as part of the World Series Senior Division team that won in 1971 and was knicked named the "Czar" Don Zaremba passed away from a fall. He hit his head and had bad head trauma and didnt recover. Those who have been around little league or even the city back in the 60s 70s and 80s and even knew of his attendance at every opening day after he moved to Arizona wo...uld know what an awesome loving man he was. We knicked named him the "Czar" because he didnt care what the city said. He and Steve Anderson back in those days were instrumental in moving the lights from Vista Grande to Esteli. Together they built Esteli Jr Sr fields, dugouts, scoresheds, and batting cages. No matter what the kids needed he found a way to get it done. He was our president on and off for 10 terms and stayed on as a devoted board member. He will be greatly missed and many of the things we have now are because of his diligence and his partners in crime, Steve Anderson and Al Morton. He always had accidents whether it be falling off ladders while putting up score boards or getting hit with a hammer while putting in posts on the batting cages but always seemed to make his way back. But not this time. God called him home. Please keep his wife Sally and his sons and many grandchildren and great grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers. Don you may be gone from our eyes but every time we step on that field your light will be shining down on all the kids as you watch over them from above. See more

Today we were very blessed..Today we were able to buy some of the necessary supplies we needed to start our camp guidelines practices..Also a parent of the league who is one of our managers blessed all our kids with free black, breathable, washable masks..5000 of them were donated. We will be able to restart as planned on monday. The city has given us the green light as long as we follow the state camp guidelines and cdc and county guidelines. Now if we could get the schoo...l district to allow ANY youth sports group to use a school field, all youth sports groups in LH would be in really good shape. But for now we will be happy having our kids be able to get back out on the field safely... Thank you. Thank you to all the supporting parents and families for your patience, understanding and support. Thank you for helping us find where to buy the many needed thermometers, many gallons of hand sanitizer, the many wipes, the sprays, the gloves for the league so that the kids can be able to get back on the baseball field on Monday. Again thank you parents..It was an added expense, but needed. Cannot wait to see all you awesome players very soon, safely play again out on the field between the lines. I bet you and all your friends are also anxious to play as well. See more

Little League believes in the power of youth baseball and softball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities. Little League mission statement In this time of uncertainty, unrest, and a need for support within our communities, our collective focus is dedicated to embracing the challenges many of our Little League communities are facing.... With that said, we have updated our website and Rulebook App, launched LittleLeague.org/OneTeamOneLittleLeague, and we will begin utilizing our evolved mission, look, and logo. This resource will have information on the new Little League including our story, the logo evolution, design/colors/fonts, licensing, and, importantly, District and League Guidelines. We understand that during these unprecedent times, your district and leagues have many other priorities to focus on. However, we encourage you to review this information and the FAQs to learn more about the new Little League and how you can help tell the next chapter in our story. As part of the launch, new logos have been created for Districts and Leagues. Leagues will have access to newly created Official Community and Official Program logos, as well, through the Data Center. Please review the local league use guidelines, as well as the information on the Data Center. As part of the launch of One Team. One Little League., this year’s Little League Photo Contest will also be live on June 6. Please encourage your leagues, as they return to play, enjoy time with their families in their backyard, and keep the Little League season going in their community, to share their photos. If you have any questions, feedback, comments, or issues with your logo, please email [email protected]. We hope you join us in celebrating the launch of our new mission, look, and logo. As always, thank you for your support and dedication to your communities and the Little League program. Sincerely, Stephen D. Keener Stephen D.
