History of Los Gatos Ballet’s Beyond: In 2008, the Youth Choreography Project (YCP) was founded. It was developed as an Artist Enrichment program that gave young artists of Los Gatos Ballet School the opportunity to explore choreographic, leadership and mentorship opportunities. Due to the success of the program, the YCP was expanded and developed into BEYOND. My name is Amrita, and I am currently a ballet and physics double major at the University of Utah. My previous training includes the Ballet School of Chapel Hill, Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre, as well as private training under Lizzie Harlen and Anton Pankevich. Rolling Into 2021 with Yuka Suguira Your roller is a great prop for deep core stabilizing work, you can use it for a lot more than rolling! On your back, with or without weights, when you move your limbs, your deep abdominals and spinal muscles are working to keep you from rolling off. You'll feel this one after a minute or two of work. I like the second one as a warm up for more spinal extension and to wake up the tiny stabilizing muscles of the spine that are working when the opposite arm and leg are moving together. - Yuka LosGatosBallet.org

What a fabulous show! I'm so proud of Los Gatos Ballet for pulling it off. At least one of our daughters has been in the Nutcracker for the past 9 years, and while the season just didn't feel the same without all of the rehearsals, late nights at the theater, and bonding with fellow volunteers (I miss chaperoning!), watching the show from our living room was unexpectedly lovely. What a great experience, watching alongside our dancer. We're thrilled that our far-flung family ...was also able to watchwe never imagined they would have the chance.
