These shampoo bars are infused with rosemary, nettle, burdock, and yellowdock, and the goat milk component is kefir. The synergy of these ingredients to nourish both hair and skin show forth another synergy: a magical color transformation when the herbs are blended with the saponified kefir! Such a delightful, yummy color, all natural.
Goat milk joins the cleansing power of coconut oil for this powerful liquid soap base! Cuts through grease in laundry and dishes, but with just two ingredients, (saponified goat milk, saponified coconut oil) nothing could be more natural.
Why goat milk is fantastic for your dog! (And your cat.) https://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/goat-milk-for-dogs/
First goat milk liquid hand soap base looking good! Liquid soap always begins as a paste that is later diluted.
And here is batch # 2! Sunflower oil is the main ingredient, followed by goat milk and coconut oil. It has subtle woody and floral essential oils making it smell like a misty forest, so that is what I shall call it. Misty Forest goat milk soap. This one will be ready to enjoy in just four weeks!
In the box where it will cure for 3 months.
Olive oil and goat milk soap is out of the mold and ready to cure! Three month minimum for this recipe. If it weren't for the goat milk, it would be a one year minimum! Olive oil soap is the slowest to cure, but so worth it.
Legend Dairy Farm's very first batch of olive oil goat milk soap is golden and magical as it does its thing in the mold! I feel like a proud mother hen. I can hardly wait to unmold it and slice it into bars. The curing process will be very long, as olive oil soap can take up to a year to properly cure. The goat milk shortens the time, maybe three months. I will make some other soaps soon that only take four weeks to cure (though they will be better quality at six weeks.)
Photo caption contest! :D
Sunset at Legend Dairy Farm is a sight to behold.
We have less milk in winter, but that is when the big dairy near us has an explosion of baby boys they need to get rid of fast. We help! We take our best care of them until we can find them loving homes.
What do we do with our extra summer milk? We put it into baby cows!
Because no one can get enough of Lucita...
